About Arval Headrick
Arval Headrick joined Transoceanic Shipping Company in 1970, shortly after receiving his BA from Universidad de las Americans, Mexico City. He became vice-chairman and chief operating officer global operations for Transoceanic Shipping Company in 1991, after successfully launching the company’s Miami operation, NVOCC GROUP, and a major air cargo division.
Headrick established the company’s worldwide network of agents, which included 35 partners, and oversaw the opening of Transoceanic’s 25 offices worldwide, which then reported to him.
In 2005, Headrick briefly joined Agility Logistics as executive vice-president/projects, after the company merged with the Transoceanic Shipping Company. In 2007, he founded Transoceanic Projects & Development (Kenya) Ltd with offices in Mombasa and Nairobi. The company’s footprint has since expanded with its own operations throughout eastern and central Africa to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; Kampala, Uganda; Juba, South Sudan, Mogadishu, Somalia, and Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo. It also hosts its own offices in Europe, China, and the Middle East, and its corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas, USA.
